InVeris Training Solutions to celebrate 95-year live-fire training legacy and exhibit unrivaled portfolio at NSSF Range-Retailer Business Expo

Suwanee, GA, June 8, 2021 — InVeris Training Solutions, the leading provider of integrated live-fire and virtual weapons training systems and services for domestic and international military and law enforcement, will display its live-fire portfolio at the National Shooting Sports Foundation’s Range-Retailer Business Expo. The event, designed to connect range owners, operators and related retailers with industry providers of products, services and training, will be held on July 12-14 in West Palm Beach, Florida.

“InVeris is ideally positioned to help shooting range operators and associated retailers increase business and enhance safety,” said Jon Read, InVeris’ live-fire systems director. “Our 95-year track record of innovation outfitting more than 15,500 ranges demonstrates our enduring commitment to operators here in the United States and around the world.”

Since 1926, InVeris has provided numerous shooting range innovations through its legacy live-fire brand Caswell. They include the world’s first moving target carrier, the industry’s first environmentally friendly bullet trap to reduce lead dust, the industry’s first wireless range control system and the world’s first fully mobile shooting range.

Visitors to the InVeris booth will see a variety of products represented, from shooting stalls to bullet traps. The XWT GEN4 wireless target carrier builds on the industry’s first wireless, 360º turning system. The XWT GEN4 uses a lithium ion battery with a positive locking connection and ergonomic placement. This technology provides a 50% increase in battery watt hours. The new docking system improves contact design for faster, more reliable charging; that means more time using the XWT GEN4 and less time charging it. Programmable distraction lighting integrates red, blue and white LEDs with four times the brightness of previous models. The quiet, smooth, low-maintenance wireless carrier is easily operated and programmable, essential for successful training and usability.

InVeris will also showcase models of two key products: The GranTrap granulated rubber bullet trap utilizes soft media to stop incoming rounds and capture them predominantly intact. This minimizes airborne lead dust, averts back-splatter and ricochet, and minimizes impact noise. The result is a cleaner and safer environment for shooting ranges, maximizing bullet recovery and recycling processes. The Road Range is a self-contained firearms training facility that integrates live-fire and simulated training capabilities in a mobile environment. The ballistically secure trailer is fully equipped to produce a three-position, state-of-the-art, live-fire range, or can be equipped with a FATS® virtual training system for less lethal and non-lethal options such as verbal commands, baton, chemical spray and TASER®.

To speak with an InVeris representative during the NSSF’s Range-Retailer Business Expo, visit booth #315 or schedule an appointment.

InVeris Training Solutions delivers advanced mobile training capability to Australian Defense Force

Suwanee, GA, June 1, 2021 — InVeris Training Solutions, the leading provider of integrated live-fire and virtual weapons training systems and services for domestic and international military and law enforcement, has successfully passed on-site acceptance testing for 14 Mobile Weapon Training Simulation Systems (MWTSS) and an additional 73 EF88 weapon simulators for the Australian Defence Force (ADF). The MWTSS has the same capability as the fixed WTSS, but in a single (4.2m x 2.4m) screen mobile configuration that will be deployed to remote locations around Australia, overseas and on Royal Australian Navy (RAN) fleet units. An additional four MWTSS have been ordered and the currently fielded trial system will be refurbished to the current build standard then returned for use, providing an initial tranche of 19 systems.

The MWTSS will be provided in multiple configurations designed to cater for the needs of those units and regions receiving the capability. Every system will have purpose-designed TrimcastTM cases for air compressor, air cylinders, binoculars and ancillaries. Operational units and RAN will receive the EF88 weapon simulator, also in Trimcast cases, with other systems being delivered with F88 weapon simulators in the interim. Units deploying overseas or on fleet units will have a complete spare parts kit to cater for any maintenance issues whilst deployed.

The MWTSS replaces the Portable WTSS which commenced trials in 2006 and entered service as an interim solution in 2014. MWTSS will be supported under the WTSS service support contract by InVeris, with instructor courses being conducted from June 2021, commencing at HMAS Penguin.

“MWTSS provides the highest levels of realism for marksmanship, judgmental, collective and call-for-fire training,” said Andrea Czop, vice president of strategy, sales and marketing for InVeris Training Solutions. “These mobile systems will provide world-class firearms and tactical training capability anywhere the ADF is deployed.”

“InVeris has been a proud supplier of WTSS capability to the ADF since 1999,” said Kevin McNaughton, managing director, InVeris Training Solutions Pty Ltd. “We remain a committed partner supporting the operational readiness of Australia’s soldiers, sailors and airmen with advanced simulation and training systems.”

InVeris Training Solutions introduces VR-DT virtual reality law enforcement trainer, announces State of California as launch customer

InVeris Training Solutions introduces VR-DT virtual reality law enforcement trainer, announces State of California as launch customer

Suwanee, GA, March 1, 2021 – InVeris Training Solutions today released details of its all-new advanced training solution called the VR-DT (Virtual Reality Decisions and Tactics) or “Verdict”. The system uses the latest fully immersive VR technology for training de-escalation of force in a wide variety of critical, real-world situations. California’s Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training (CA POST), which oversees training statewide, will serve as the solution’s launch customer.

The VR-DT was chosen in August 2020 by California POST following a competitive procurement process for its VR Force Options Simulator requirement. InVeris will deliver 50 systems during a six-month period as part of a $2.6 million contract award with the option for up to $5 million in additional systems and related equipment. Approximately half the systems are to be delivered and installed by March 1. InVeris will supply 100 scenarios with branching options initially, plus 10 state-mandated ones per year of the contract. In addition, a powerful scenario authoring tool will enable customer-driven content creation to further enhance realism using situations and settings reflective of California.

“California POST’s selection of InVeris’ new VR-DT reinforces our company’s position as the world leader in law enforcement simulation training, now delivered via virtual reality,” said Andrea Czop, vice president of strategy, sales and marketing at InVeris Training Solutions. “The VR-DT will put California law enforcement on the leading edge of force-option simulation training thanks to the unique immersive capabilities of virtual reality.”

The VR-DT enables law enforcement agencies, as well as private and military security forces, to maximize readiness and correctly educate students for field experiences. The system combines state-of-the-art hardware, scalable software and a content library that is always increasing. A variety of officer weapons and equipment can be accommodated, including simulated pistols, rifles, shotguns, batons, TASERs, OC sprays and flashlights. The adjustable and modular system works anywhere, from one to two-person sessions.

“The VR-DT builds on nearly four decades of experience designing projection-based systems, but provides even greater realism,” said Eric Perez, the company’s director of virtual systems sales. “Two officers training in a tactical scenario will benefit from their own viewpoints and spatial orientation, while still being tested on their verbal and physical actions. Moreover, after-action review of decision-making in such situations will be enhanced thanks to the precise tracking and playback of trainee movements in their respective virtual spaces.”

Utilizing the latest wireless, high-definition headsets with impressive 360-degree fields of view and weapons tracking, officers train in fully immersive environments that put them in the action. The ability to perform a traffic stop or intervene in a domestic altercation from two perspectives, create distance and angles between students and move to cover are all enhanced with the VR-DT. A lightweight, fully customized laptop allows the instructor to influence the scenarios, environments and weapons.

Depending on the trainee’s actions, the instructor can branch the scenarios to escalate or de-escalate the situation, then review their decision-making skills to ensure proper tactics are used from any angle during after-action review. These virtual environments and ambient features increase the student’s psychological immersion and focus when dealing with the situation at hand. By increasing the immersions, the trainee’s mental recall is heightened, thus enhancing their overall training experience.

Development of the VR-DT is an evolution of InVeris’ class-leading Firearms Training Systems (FATS®) and recognizes the increased focus and scrutiny on law enforcement training. Community, state and national leaders are concentrating on issues like de-escalation, crisis intervention and active shooters. The VR-DT will help enhance the conveyance of proper decision-making skills to protect lives in California and beyond.
