COMBAT ENDANGERS TROOP SAFETY

Training poses a physical risk. Accumulated exposure to Blast Overpressure (BOP), from both heavy weaponry and repeated firing of individual weapons, can cause severe neurological and physiological impact on your soldiers. InVeris weapons simulation replicates physical weight, recoil, and targeting precision under realistic synthetic stress, enabling crews to complete thousands of cognitive repetitions and weapon-handling cycles with zero BOP exposure.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

What is "The Mission"?

“The Mission” is a storytelling wargame vehicle created by InVeris to demonstrate how military teams can conduct successful mission training using the world’s most robust, complete, and interoperable continuum spanning firearms training solutions from live fire to simulation.

How is the InVeris continuum implemented?

Rather than treating virtual simulators and physical shooting ranges as isolated assets, InVeris connects them, allowing tactical scenarios, data, and operational lessons to flow seamlessly from preparation to augmented reality shoot houses and live verification.

How does the InVeris ecosystem achieve true interoperability between different systems?

InVeris utilizes an open-architecture framework that allows core virtual systems (like the fats® 100MIL) to connect with third-party tactical software and specialized hardware. Through partnerships with industry platforms like VBS4 (OneArc) for synthetic battlespaces, SimCentric SAF-TAC and Xiphos Partners JVT for JTAC/call-for-fire, and Vigilante Dart and OneArc FlowState for drone flight, dismounts, armored vehicle crews, and air assets can rehearse together within a unified operating picture.

What is fats® LIVE, and how does it combine live-fire exercises with virtual simulation?

fats® LIVE is a hybrid training system that projects dynamic, responsive virtual scenarios onto self-healing rubber screens installed permanently or semi-permanently on your existing indoor live fire range. Shooters fire live ammunition at dynamic virtual threats, while the system leverages the included camera to track shot locations during the scenario, delivering immediate visual and data feedback on shooting performance.

What capabilities does the new InVeris DRONE (Flight Training) system offer?

Developed in partnership with Vigilante Dart, InVeris DRONE is a high-fidelity sUAS flight simulator. It runs on standard laptops (with optional VR or drone goggles) and features a controller-agnostic interface supporting Xbox, PlayStation, US-made, or non-US-made drone controllers and goggles. It builds operator skills in all aspects required for sUAS operation including reconnaissance, first-person view (FPV) flight, and drone-on-drone interdiction tactics. Additionally, InVeris drone training offerings include the OneArc FlowState program, which takes foundational flight skills and provides a training avenue for integration of sUAS tactics and execution in a complete battlespace scenario.

How does InVeris Counter-Drone training work within existing virtual setups?

InVeris Counter-Drone utilizes fats® AR (Augmented Reality) hardware and is available as a standalone product or as a software add-on. Counter-drone engagement scenarios are also available on existing fats® 100MIL projection systems as an add-on. The InVeris Counter-Drone training scenarios project incoming sUAS single drones and drone swarms into physical room spaces via AR or onto screens, training warfighters to visually track, lead, and neutralize aerial threats using organic small arms with realistic ballistic feedback.

How does simulation-based weapons training reduce Blast Overpressure (BOP) exposure?

Repeated firing of individual tactical weapons and heavy crew-served weapons, like mortars, shoulder-fired missiles, or recoilless rifles, subjects warfighters to accumulated Blast Overpressure (BOP) or Low-Level Blast (LLB) exposure (also referred to as Military Occupational Blast Exposure or MOBE), which can cause neurological and physiological strain. InVeris BlueFire® and heavy weapons simulators replicate physical weapon handling, elevation and deflection changes for mortars, target tracking for direct fire weapons, recoil, and targeting in synthetic environments enabling crews to execute thousands of procedural reps without BOP exposure or live ammunition costs.

What advantages does InVeris’ small business status bring to defense and allied buyers?

InVeris combines a global footprint with over 15,000 live-fire ranges and 7,500 FATS® virtual systems fielded worldwide with small business responsiveness and agility. This allows InVeris to offer dedicated technical support and flexible acquisition pathways that large defense conglomerates cannot match.

Can existing fats® and Caswell® systems be upgraded with new Drone or AR capabilities?

Yes. InVeris designs its hardware and software platforms for long-term modularity. Existing fats® projection systems, 100MIL setups, and Caswell® live-fire ranges can be retrofitted with software additions like fats® AR headsets, Counter-Drone threat modules, and LOMAH targetry arrays without replacing core infrastructure.

How does LOMAH (Location Of Miss & Hit) targetry improve marksmanship on live-fire ranges?

LOMAH utilizes advanced acoustic transducer arrays positioned at live-fire targets to detect the supersonic shockwave of passing bullets. It calculates the exact coordinates of hits and misses, displaying shot groupings, placement, hit vectors, and after-action reviews on the shooter’s Firing Point Computer in real-time to accelerate marksmanship corrections.

How can defense planners and range commanders schedule a demonstration?

Training Officers, Range Safety Officers / Officers in Charge, G3/S3 planners, and Exercise Directors can schedule a live demonstration at InVeris’ Atlanta-area headquarters or request a virtual walkthrough by clicking here or calling 678-426-9432.
