Caswell International opens for business; invents world’s first target retrieval system.

Firearms Training Systems (FATS®) is established in Atlanta, Georgia. FATS is the first company in the world to produce interactive firearms training simulations for law enforcement and military markets.

FATS produces the world’s first stand-alone firearm that interacts with a video scenario.

FATS II generation with video branching is introduced with multiple scenario outcomes based on the trainees’ actions.

Meggitt PLC acquires Firearms Training Systems (FATS®) and combines the FATS/Caswell brands to form Meggitt Training Systems.

2008-2

The FATS L7 is introduced and becomes the longest-lasting, best-selling law enforcement virtual system.

Meggitt wins US Army and US Marine Corps small-arms training contracts, awarded Program of Record.

The FATS 100LE is introduced, developed for the military but customized for law enforcement training.

2017

The FATS 100 MIL is launched with multiple simulations and training modes for armed forces.
The FATS 100P is launched, providing portable, virtual de-escalation of force training.

2018

Debut of the FATS 300 and FATS 180 multi-screen systems for immersive 3D markmanship, judgmental and collective training.

2020

Pine Island Capital Partners acquires Meggitt Training Systems and debuts the new company, InVeris Training Solutions.
